Graeme Robertson – Chairman and CEO

Graeme Robertson has spent much of his life in Asia engineering growth in developing nations. He has been responsible for pioneering and managing world-class and global mining, energy and infrastructure operations.

A graduate of the University of New South Wales, Graeme has been the developer and Executive Director of internationally substantial companies in coal mining, ports and infrastructure with current capitalisation of over US$12 billion.

Graeme is the Chairman and owner of Intrasia Capital Pte Ltd, his private equity and development vehicle based in Singapore with interests in Mining and Energy, Agriculture, Financial Services and Real Estate.

He is a humanitarian and an active sportsman.

Dr Abed Chaudhury – Director and Chief Scientist

Dr. Chaudhury initially completed his Bachelor Degree in Chemistry at Dhaka University, Bangladesh, later completing his PhD at the University of Oregon in molecular biology and genetics. Working in conjunction with the United States National Institute of Health (NIH) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Dr. Chaudhury conducted postdoctoral research in food nutrition and plant biology.

Prior to joining Vitagrain Pte Ltd, Dr. Chaudhury spent 19 years with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) in Australia rising to the distinguished rank of Senior Principal Scientist (Plant Biology).

Over the last 20 years, Dr. Chaudhury has devoted his profession to rice breeding and has led research programs in ACIAR (Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research) and IRRI (International Rice Research Institute) reflecting his extensive knowledge in this sector.

Tim Robertson SC – Non-Executive Director

Tim Robertson is an Australian barrister who specialises in environmental, public, international, constitutional, property, native title and media law.

He has argued some of the leading cases in Australian appellate courts in his areas of speciality. For some years he has been retained to advise governments, corporations and NGOs in the Asia-Pacific and American regions.He is regularly invited to present keynote addresses at Australian and international conferences on climate change law.

He was formerly Secretary of the Council for Civil Liberties and the Australian Society of Labor Lawyers, and was co-founder of the Australian Privacy Foundation.

He was appointed a Senior Counsel in 2001.

Tan Ching Khoon – Non-Executive Director

Mr Tan has more than 25 years experience in marketing communications, golf course management and the leisure industry, power generation, financial services and the mining sector. He holds a Masters degree from Macquarie University Graduate School.

He is credited to be the first person to launch Sellavision, a home shopping channel in Asia and was instrumental in rolling out Public Insight Investor Relations TV show for listed companies on different stock exchanges.

He formerly co-owned Maschinenbau Halberstadt GmbH (MBH), a reciprocal combustion engine manufacturer for modular power generation and IPP in East Germany in the state of Saxony-Anhalt and was President of MBH’s global operations. He was also Director of Nasdaq-listed Tracer Petroleum Inc involved in oil exploration and production.

Apart from his involvement in several businesses, Mr Tan is Chairman of Hatim Capital and Bashan Resources, both private equity investment arms with close association to strategic investors from the Middle East and China, covering investments in iron ore, copper, gold, uranium and rare earths.

He was a Director of The Commercial & Industrial Security Corporation (CISCO Police Singapore) from 1997 to May 2005, is Vice President of the Singapore Anti-Narcotics Association and a member of the YPO/WPO International Chapter.
